Milford United 1 Goodwick United 0 MILFORD United claimed their 13th win of a fantastic first season back in division one thanks to a typical piece of Nicky Woodrow finishing.
Both these sides like to pass the ball around but the sticky Marble Hall pitch and strong gusts made free-flowing football difficult.
The game often got bogged down in the midfield and both keepers had little to do in a stale first 45.
But things livened up in the second period with Woodrow bagging the winner and Milford keeper Steve Hartley pulling off a string of fine saves to earn his side the points.
The crucial moment came 10 minutes into the second half and involved good interplay between James Stanmore and Woodrow.
The young forward looked up and fired in a shot from just outside the area.
The ball bounced wickedly just in front of the diving Carl Woodhouse and into the back of the net.
Goodwick pressed for the equaliser and carved out several clear-cut opportunities.
But each time the Goodwick front-line found Hartley in fine form and the Robins took the points.
Milford United maintain their slender advantage over arch rivals Hakin in the race for fourth place. Milford were sponsored by James Lees.
